Aliza Sherman, CEO
Aliza Sherman helped pave the way for women online and in the Internet industry. She is a web and social mobile pioneer whose work helped shape the early new media industry.
She is an international keynote speaker, author of 11 books, and a digital strategist since 1992.
In addition to starting the first woman-owned Internet company in the early 90s, Cybergrrl, Inc., she has been writing, speaking and consulting about social media since 2006 and social mobile marketing since 2010. She is also well known for her expertise on women’s technology and business issues.
Her latest books are Social Media Engagement for Dummies, The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Crowdsourcing and Mom, Incorporated. Her next book is The Happy, Healthy Nonprofit: Strategies for Impact Without Burnout (Wiley, Oct 2016).
Erica Buteau – Senior Social Media Manager
Erica Buteau is head chef at Chateau Buteau where she cooks for four great kids, a beautiful granddaughter and one hunk of a man, also known there as babe, mom, Nonna, and sometimes referee. Her recent 180 pound weight loss has been featured in national media and is the subject of an upcoming memoir.
Professionally, Erica is a Technology Professor, has an MA in History and does freelance writing and blogging in addition to social media and online marketing, management and content development. Additionally, Erica has more than ten years of experience managing and implementing award-winning PR and Marketing and Communications Measurement Research projects for multiple large-scale clients including the USO, Facebook, MADD and the ASPCA.
Parya Parvizi, Account Manager
Parya Parvizi’s journey began in the world of politics, where she started her work in marketing, media, event coordination and fundraising for a woman’s political grassroots organization. She later became a chair member of a woman’s national political committee, where she utilized her skills in annual fundraising and media relations.
Since, she has worked as an independent consultant providing services in website development, social media, marketing, content writing and brand strategy for various groups and organizations. Her work in politics, none-profit organizations, 10+ years in the hospitality industry, and certified yoga teaching and healing arts gives her an extra edge in grasping the needs of various industries and companies and their specific clientele.
